Woman of the Year
Nominees solicited from schools by May 1 deadlineInstitutions are encouraged to submit the names of deserving student-athletes for the 2007 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
The award has been presented annually since 1991 to a senior student-athlete who has distinguished herself throughout her collegiate career in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.
Nomination forms may be found at http://web1.ncaa.org/woty/exec/main and must be submitted by institutions online not later than May 1. Institutions may forward two nominations if at least one of the nominees is a person of color.
Nominations are submitted through member conferences. Each league will select one winner. From the conference winners, the Woman of the Year selection committee will announce the top 10 winners in Divisions I, II and III, respectively. From each group of 10, a top three will be chosen. The overall winner will be selected from the pool of nine divisional honorees and will be honored October 27.
