A 15-year-old Division III conference that used online voting to help select a new name soon will rebrand itself as the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

The league’s board of directors approved the new name for the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference after two rounds of online voting. Many who voted suggested the conference’s new name should be associated with the region where the league operates.

The conference recently added members from New Jersey and Maryland.

The conference is developing a new logo and also will build a new Web site, according to Emilie Duggan, the conference’s assistant commissioner.
