Mount Union remains unbeaten

Top-ranked Mount Union went to 13-0 on the season with a convincing 41-14 win over Cortland State December 6 to advance to the Division III Football Championship semifinals Saturday.

The Purple Raiders, who are in the national semifinals for a 14th straight year, will host Wheaton (Illinois), a 48-28 quarterfinal winner over Franklin, at noon ET.

The other semifinal pits Wisconsin-Whitewater against Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, at 1 p.m. ET. Wisconsin-Whitewater handled Wartburg, 34-17, while Mary Hardin-Baylor dispatched Washington and Jefferson, 63-7.

Quarterfinals: Mount Union 41, Cortland St. 14; Wheaton (Ill.) 48, Franklin 28; Wis.-Whitewater 34, Wartburg 17; Mary Hardin-Baylor 63, Wash. & Jeff. 7.

Semifinals (December 13 at campus sites): Wheaton (Ill.) (11-2) at Mount Union (13-0); Wis.-Whitewater (11-1) at Mary Hardin-Baylor (12-1).
