DePauw will host the Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships for the second time next winter.
The event involving 446 student-athletes will be March 12-13, 2010, on the James A. Hollensteiner Track of DePauw’s indoor tennis and track center. The Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee announced DePauw’s selection as host this week.
“We're thrilled to be hosting the track championships again,” said Page Cotton, athletics director at DePauw, which was the site of the 2003 Division III indoor championships. “DePauw has had a strong history of hosting NCAA events and we’re looking forward to again showcasing the university.”
DePauw’s indoor tennis and track center, which opened in 2001, also was the site of the Division I Horizon League track and field championships in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2009.
In the last decade, the university also has served as NCAA postseason host in softball, men's and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s tennis.
