INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Committee has selected the teams that will compete in the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships.

The championships will be held May 28-29 at CSUS Aquatic Center in Sacramento, California. California State University, Sacramento, will serve as host.

The championships is comprised of six teams and each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and a coxswain. The following are the berths that are allocated: Pool A - one (Pool A consists of conference automatic qualifiers); Pools B and C - five (Pools B and C include independents and conferences that are not awarded automatic qualification).

The selection of teams was based on eligibility and availability of student-athletes; winning percentage; head-to-head results; results against common opponents; strength-of-schedule as demonstrated by results against regionally ranked teams/boats; and results against teams/boats already selected. If the aforementioned criteria did not result in a decision, the remainder of the institution's schedule, including out-of-region play and competition against Divisions I and II institutions, and nonmember institutions, and late season results were also considered.

TEAMS:

Pool A
    Trinity (Connecticut)*
Pools B and C
    Coast Guard
    Ithaca
    Puget Sound
    Smith
    Williams

*Automatic qualifier

Puget Sound finished second with 12 points, Ithaca came in third and Coast Guard finished fourth.
