INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Field Hockey Committee released Monday the 2004 tournament field as well as the final rankings in each region.
Bloomsburg (19-2) and Massachusetts-Lowell (19-2) will receive first-round byes in the six-team field. Indiana (Pennsylvania) (17-4) will host Shippensburg (16-5) in the South region first round contest with the winner advancing to play Bloomsburg. In the North region, Southern Connecticut State (15-6) will travel to Bentley (20-2) for a first round contest with the winner meeting Massachusetts-Lowell in a semifinal match-up. Both first round games will be contested Saturday, November 6, at noon ET.
Semifinals will be played Friday, November 12, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with the final Sunday, November 14, at 1 p.m. All games will be played at Cushing Field Complex on the campus of Massachusetts-Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts.
