NCAA Men's Volleyball Committee Announces 2004 National Collegiate Championship Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Men's Volleyball Committee announced today the bracket for the 2004 National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Championship. The semifinals and final will take place May 6 and 8, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at The Stan Sheriff Center. The University of Hawaii, Manoa, is the host.

Four teams were selected to compete for the championship. Automatic qualification was awarded to Brigham Young (27-4), the winner of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation; Lewis (19-13), winner of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association; and Penn State (23-6), winner of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. One team, Long Beach State (27-6), was selected at-large.

Semifinal No. 1 will be broadcast live on Thursday, May 6 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. Semifinal No. 2 will be broadcast on tape delay on Friday, May 7 at 2 p.m. Eastern time. The national championship match will be broadcast live on May 8 at 10 p.m. Eastern time. All broadcasts are on ESPN2.
