INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee announced dates and times for the start of ticket sales for the 2005 regionals.  All regional tickets are being sold as a three-game package from the first sale date at each site through March 21.  It is anticipated that the regional sites will be sold out, but if any of the four sites are not sold out by March 21, tickets will be available for individual sessions at an increased ticket price.

As a bonus, any person buying tickets on the first day regional tickets go on sale will have the opportunity to win two tickets to the 2005 Men’s Frozen Four in Columbus, Ohio.  Each region will award a pair of tickets to a person who is randomly selected from people who purchased tickets through the Internet, in-person or by phone.

Tickets for the East regional at the Centrum Centre in Worcester, Massachusetts (hosted by Boston University) will go on sale October 4, noon Eastern time.  Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the Centrum Centre box office, by calling 617/931-2000 or by logging onto the internet at www.ticketmaster.com.  Start times for the first-round games March 25, are 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time, while the regional final is March 26, 8 p.m. Eastern time.  Tickets for the three-game package are $60.

Northeast regional tickets for the Mullins Center in Amherst, Massachusetts (hosted by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst) will go on sale October 4, 9 a.m. Eastern time.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-866/UMASS-TIX, or by stopping by the Mullins Center box office.  Start times for the first-round games March 26, are noon and 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, while the regional final is March 27, noon Eastern time.  Tickets for the three-game package are $60.

The Midwest regional at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan (hosted by Western Michigan University) will have tickets on sale starting at noon Eastern time, October 4.  First-round games are 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Eastern time, March 25, while the regional final is 5 p.m. Eastern time, March 26.  Tickets for the three-game package are $60, and can be obtained by calling 616/456-3333 or by stopping by the Van Andel Arena box office.

Tickets for the West regional at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota (hosted by the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities) are currently on sale at www.gophersports.com or by calling 1-800/UGOPHER.  The first-round contests are noon and 3:30 p.m. Central time, March 26, while the regional final is March 27, 2:30 p.m. Central time.  Three-game ticket packages are available for $70.

If any of the host institutions are selected to participate in the 2005 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, they will be assigned to their host site.  Links for ordering tickets online for all regionals are available through www.ncaasports.com.  Times for all regional contests are subject to change.

The 2005 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, April 7 and 9, at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio is sold out.  This marks the eighth time in the last nine years that the Men’s Frozen Four has been sold out.
