INDIANAPOLIS ---The NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Committee has reprimanded John Mercer, head women’s tennis coach at Marshall University , for misconduct during the 2004 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships.

"The committee was very disappointed in coach Mercer's behavior and strongly believes that the championship should not be tarnished by such acts,” said Jay Louderback, chair of the women’s subcommittee of the Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Committee and head women's tennis coach at the University of Notre Dame.
