NCAA’s Brand to Serve as Keynote Speaker at 2005 Women’s Leadership Symposium

INDIANAPOLIS---NCAA President Myles Brand will deliver the keynote address at the 2005 Leadership Symposium for Women in Intercollegiate Athletics, sponsored by the Horizon League and Big Ten Conference, May 16-17 in Indianapolis.

The symposium will help provide development opportunities for women in athletics and for those students aspiring to enter the field of athletics.  The first symposium was conducted in 2001 in Indianapolis and included 65 participants.  By 2003, the event had grown to 125 attendees and was conducted in Columbus, Ohio.  The goal for the 2005 symposium is 200 participants.

Participants will include administrators from universities, colleges, athletic conferences, the NCAA, NBA, WNBA, and public and private organizations.
