CLEVELAND---The NCAA, in conjunction with Cleveland State University, the Mid-American Conference and the Cleveland Local Organizing Committee (CLOC), unveiled the 2007 NCAA Women’s Final Four logo today at the Tower City Center. The 2007 Women’s Final Four logo features a guitar signifying the living heritage of rock and roll and the influence it has had in Cleveland’s storied history.
“Hosting the NCAA Women's Final Four is an amazing opportunity for Cleveland. It is one of the most exciting and important sporting events in our country and we are thrilled to partner with the NCAA and look forward to creating a memorable experience for all involved”, said David Gilbert, executive director, Cleveland Local Organizing Committee.
Cleveland State University, the Mid-American Conference and the CLOC are the hosts for the 2007 Women’s Final Four, April 1 and 3 at the Quicken Loans Arena. The Quicken Loans Arena will be set for a seating capacity of approximately 20,000. An estimated 5,000 of those seats will be allocated to the general public through the random computerized drawing administered by the NCAA national office.
NCAA March Madness comes to Cleveland in 2006 as Cleveland State University and the Mid-American Conference host the 2006 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Cleveland Regional. Four teams will vie for a trip to the 2006 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Boston. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 216/420-2200.
