Tickets for Division I Men's Ice Hockey Regionals to Go on Sale

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee announced dates and times for the start of ticket sales for the 2006 regionals. All regional tickets are being sold as a three-game package from the first sale date at each site through March 20. It is anticipated that the regional sites will be sold out, but if any of the four sites are not sold out by March 20, tickets will be available for individual sessions at an increased ticket price.


As a bonus, any person buying tickets on the first day regional tickets go on sale will have the opportunity to win two tickets to the 2006 Men’s Frozen Four in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Each region will award a pair of tickets to a person who is randomly selected from people who purchased tickets through the Internet, in-person or by phone.


Tickets for the Northeast regional at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts (hosted by Boston University) will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern time October 3. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the DCU Center box office, by calling 617/931-2000 or by logging onto the internet at www.ticketmaster.com. Start times for the first-round games March 24, are 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time, while the regional final is March 25, 8 p.m. Eastern time. Tickets for the three-game package are $61.


East regional tickets for the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York (hosted by the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) will go on sale October 8, at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Tickets can be purchased by calling 518/476-1000, or by stopping by the Pepsi Arena box office. Start times for the first-round games March 25, are Noon and 3 p.m. Eastern time, while the regional final is March 26, 2 p.m. Eastern time. Tickets for the three-game package are $72.


The Midwest regional at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin (hosted by Michigan Technological University) will have tickets on sale starting at 10 a.m. Central time, October 1. First-round games are 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Central time, March 25, while the regional final is 4 p.m. Central time March 26. Tickets for the three-game package are $62, and can be obtained by calling 920/494-3401, 800/895-0071 or by stopping by the Resch Center box office.


Tickets for the West regional at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, North Dakota (hosted by the University of North Dakota) will go on sale October 15 at 10 a.m. The first-round contests are 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Central time March 24, while the regional final is March 25, 8 p.m. Central time. Three-game ticket packages are available for $63 and can be purchased at the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office or by calling ticketmaster at 701/772-5151.


If any of the host institutions are selected to participate in the 2006 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, they will be assigned to their host site. Links for ordering tickets online for all regionals are available through www.ncaasports.com. Times for all regional contests are subject to change.


The 2006 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, April 6 and 8, at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee is sold out. This marks the ninth time in the last 10 years that the Men’s Frozen Four has been sold out.
