Statement By NCAA Senior Vice-President For Championships And Education Services Judy Sweet On Mississippi State Track And Field Participant Eligibility

"As a result of the Mississippi State student-athlete requesting withdrawal from individual and relay events in the upcoming Division I Men's Track & Field Championship, officers of the NCAA Executive Committee today voted to set aside the rule that would have precluded other members of the Mississippi State relay team from competing in other events. This one-time set aside is due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding this student athlete's situation."
