ESPN Basketball Analyst Nancy Lieberman To Moderate NCAA Women's Final Four� Symposium On Preparing Student-Athletes For Life After Athletics

WHEN: TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. EST

WHERE: WESTIN COPLEY PLACE HOTEL - Essex Ballroom Center, Third Floor 10 Huntington Ave., Boston

WHO: An elite panel of coaches, administrators and former student-athletes will engage in a thoughtful discussion of the challenges and opportunities facing student-athletes as they transition to life after their NCAA athletic career � with a special focus on topics of interest for female student-athletes. ESPN Basketball Analyst Nancy Lieberman will moderate the panel, which is scheduled to include:
  • Judy Sweet, NCAA Senior Vice President, Championships and Education
  • Doug Bruno, WBCA President and Head Coach, DePaul University Women�s Basketball
  • Jennifer Rizzotti, Head Coach, University of Hartford Women�s Basketball
  • Gene DeFilippo, Director of Athletics, Boston College
  • Kristy Curry, Head Coach, Purdue University Women�s Basketball
  • Sherri Coale, Head Coach, University of Oklahoma Women�s Basketball
  • Joan Cronan, Director of Women�s Athletics, University of Tennessee
WHY: The vast majority of NCAA student-athletes will pursue a career other than professional sports, relying on their education and practical guidance to succeed. This panel will provide a fresh look at how today�s student-athletes are being equipped to excel in their lives after college.

The symposium is being presented by The Hartford in conjunction with the NCAA and the Women�s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as part of The Hartford and NCAA�s Playbook for Life educational campaign to help student-athletes plan for their financial future.
