Popular Musical Acts, World's Largest Pep Rally Take the Stage for Four-Day Celebration Surrounding 2007 NCAA Men's Final Four

ATLANTA (March 15, 2007) - When the NCAA Men's Final Four makes its much-anticipated return to Atlanta at the end of March, the Georgia Dome won't be the only locale in the city boasting impressive lineups. Only blocks away from the sporting venue where the top NCAA Division I men's basketball teams take the court to decide the 2007 national champion, The Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park also is guaranteed to have fans cheering with excitement.

The Big Dance card is filled with four days of popular musical acts, celebrities, a special military salute, crowd-rousing pep rally and even a fireworks display - and it's all free to the public.  Sponsored by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and its Corporate Champions - AT&T, Coca-Cola and Pontiac - to provide an additional experience for fans during Men's Final Four weekend, The Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park opens its gates on Friday, March 30 with AT&T in the Park, followed by The Pontiac Garage on Saturday, My Coke FestTM on Sunday and NCAA Championship Monday.

"Because the Men's Final Four is one of the top sporting events in the country, we wanted to provide NCAA basketball fans with a celebration that matches its championship caliber," said Greg Shaheen, NCAA senior vice president of basketball and business strategies. "Thanks to our Corporate Champions Coca-Cola, AT&T and Pontiac, as well as the local CBS affiliate, WGCL-TV, and CSTV (a cable network owned by CBS), The Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park has succeeded in becoming a world-class fan experience. And thanks to CBS Sports, fans all across the country can experience and enjoy all the exciting game action that makes up the Men's Final Four."

AT&T in the Park
Music and basketball abound during Friday's AT&T in the Park, the opening act in The Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park’s four-day lineup. The activities tip off at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, as the finalists for the Naismith Men's Player of the Year Trophy presented by AT&T will be introduced to the crowd.  WGCL-TV/CBS 46 sports anchor Gil Tyree will make the introductions to the players in between that night's musical acts, which will be announced by AT&T in the coming week. The evening will be capped by a spectacular fireworks display comparable to Centennial Olympic Park's Fourth of July Celebration.

The Pontiac Garage
Featuring the musical acts of DTP Grammy Award-winning musician Chris "Ludacris" Bridges with special guest Bobby Valentino, So So Def Recordings artist Johnta Austin and popular alternative rock band LIVE, The Pontiac Garage opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and offers fans a day filled with activities worthy of game day.  After a special "Salute to the Troops" opening tribute to our nation's armed forces, the musical performers will entertain the crowd until approximately 3 p.m., when the World's Largest Pep Rally takes over the Centennial Olympic Park stage.  The day will be punctuated by the Pontiac Virtual Final Four and a colorful balloon release, as well as a special Air Force flyover to further honor our nation's service men and women.

During the World's Largest Pep Rally, cheerleaders, mascots and pep bands from each of the four participating teams will rally their respective fans just hours before tip-off of that night's first semifinal contest at the nearby Georgia Dome. Both semifinal games will be broadcast by Atlanta's CBS affiliate WGCL-TV/CBS 46 on giant video panels placed around the stage. Various live and taped events also will be broadcast on the giant screens throughout the weekend of activities.

My Coke Fest
American Idol's Ryan Seacrest returns to his hometown of Atlanta to serve as special guest star for My Coke Fest, which opens its gates at noon on Sunday.  The celebrity-filled, day-long music extravaganza headlines with Grammy Award-winning rockers Maroon 5 and also features multi-platinum rapper LL Cool J, alternative rockers Chevelle, power pop band Hellogoodbye and platinum-selling country music duo, Atlanta's own Sugarland.

In addition to enjoying a diverse day of music, My Coke Fest attendees will be able to send text messages to special viewing screens positioned adjacent to the stage. Using their cellular phones, people can text shout-outs to friends, comment on the music, or salute their favorite Men's Final Four team. MyCokeRewardsTM also will get into the act as roving kiosks will move among the crowd allowing people to instantly join the popular online mega-rewards program.

NCAA Championship Monday
As the final two teams get ready to square off for the national title at the Georgia Dome that evening, NCAA Championship Monday will offer plenty of pregame entertainment at Centennial Olympic Park.  Right up until game time, fans can enjoy the sounds of Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Marc Cohn and two-time Grammy-nominated Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

Thanks once again to WGCL-TV/CBS 46, fans without tickets to Monday night's championship game will be able to experience a larger-than-life view of the action on the court. The Atlanta station will transmit CBS Sports' nationally televised broadcast on the giant video screens, as the viewing party in the Park continues until the 2007 NCAA Division I men's basketball champion is crowned.

The Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park will be held concurrently with several other Men's Final Four events, including NCAA® Hoop City® refreshed by Coca-Cola®. This basketball-focused, interactive family friendly fan festival is produced by CBS Sports and will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Friday through Monday. It is sure to entertain fans of all ages.  For a complete list of activities, Atlanta transportation information and how to purchase tickets for the applicable events, go to www.atlanta.net/finalfour.

[NOTE: While all Big Dance at Centennial Olympic Park activities are free, for safety reasons, fans are not allowed to bring in coolers, chairs or blankets to the park. Given the convenient downtown location for the event, concessions will be available.]
