ATLANTA  –– Registration is now open for the NCAA Dome Dribble to Hoop City, scheduled for Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m. during the height of Final Four weekend festivities.  More than 3,000 youth are expected to dribble basketballs along a designated parade route from the Georgia Dome around the Georgia World Congress Center to Hoop City, where they will have free entrance that day to enjoy the NCAA’s interactive fan festival.  Basketball fans under the age of 18 can sign up by visiting www.atlanta.net/finalfour/events.

“Limited on-site registration will be available beginning at 10:30 a.m. the day of the Dome Dribble, but we are encouraging families to sign up their children and teens in advance by visiting the Web site,”  said Jennifer Odom, co-chair of the Special Events Committee for the ALOC.  In fact, 2,000 spots are being reserved for online registrations, and 1,000 spots will be held for onsite walk-ups.

At 12:15 p.m., prior to the start of the Dribble, participants will begin to stretch with a high energy warm-up led by players from Georgia State’s men’s and women’s basketball team, and Georgia Tech’s women’s basketball players, the pep band and junior varsity cheerleaders.  Everyone who registers will receive a free basketball and T-shirt courtesy of the NCAA and PowerAde.

Don’t want to deal with traffic?  MARTA has two offers that will help local and visiting fans travel downtown with ease.  Atlanta residents can sign up online to purchase the special NCAA Final Four Ride Pass for unlimited rides from Friday, March 30 through Monday, April 2 or Tuesday, April 3 for $12, and $13, respectively.  The second option is a deal for both residents and out-of- town fans who are interested in unlimited rides and discounts.  MARTA is offering the NCAA Commemorative Hoops Pass for $22, which includes the same unlimited number of rides for four days, and includes numerous discounts for entrance to Hoop City, admission to the NABC All College All Star game, merchandise and much more.  For more information, on the MARTA pass options, visit https://finalfourpass.sportgraphics.biz/Default.aspx.
