“On behalf of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee and staff, we wish to express our deepest sympathies to Dan Guerrero and his entire family, who mourn Tuesday’s passing of Dan’s father.  We are comforted knowing that he passed peacefully while surrounded by his family.

In regard to Dan’s role as a member of the selection committee, we have made arrangements that will allow Dan to participate remotely throughout the selection, seeding and bracketing process, which takes place over the next few days in Indianapolis.  Dan will be able to communicate with the committee by telephone and will be able to cast his ballots by computer.  As the selection process continues, the committee and staff have Dan and his family in our thoughts and prayers.”
