INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee has reprimanded University of Maryland, College Park, head coach Sasho Cirovski for inappropriate behavior after a third-round game of the 2007 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship.

Specifically, Mr. Cirovski made inappropriate comments to the media that were critical of the officiating during Maryland’s third-round loss to Bradley University. Because of these actions, the committee decided to issue a public reprimand to Mr. Cirovski, as well as a $300 financial penalty.

The men’s soccer committee was disappointed by these comments and strongly believes the championship should not be tarnished by such acts.
