INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA unveiled a series of new branding logos that will serve as the official mark of the Division I Men’s College World Series, starting in 2009.
The Men’s College World Series has been conducted in Omaha for nearly 60 years, and with the new deal that was finalized this past June, will continue in Omaha through at least 2036. With this rich history, it was determined that a permanent logo would be more consistent with the focus on tradition in baseball and the CWS.
“These logos, used on a consistent basis for the indefinite future, will provide a strong graphic and visual identity for an event with such a wonderful history of passion and excellence” said Dennis Poppe, NCAA vice president for baseball and football.
Applications for use of the logos will include event tickets, signage, websites, jersey patches, apparel and other merchandise. The primary colors for the new team of logos will be NCAA blue, white, black and aluminum.
