INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Committee has selected championship sites for 2010 and 2011.  Stanford, California, will host the 2010 NCAA National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship, while University Park, Pennsylvania, will serve as the championship host in 2011.

“The committee was extremely pleased to receive several attractive bids for the 2010 and 2011 National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship, each presenting exciting opportunities for future participants,” said Brian Summers, chair of the National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball committee and assistant director of athletics at Lewis University.  “After evaluating the options, our committee felt Stanford and University Park best fit the criteria we seek from a men’s volleyball host at this point in time.  Stanford has some of the finest athletic facilities in the country and has hosted numerous national championships in other sports, and Penn State has hosted the event in the past and done a tremendous job.  In addition, this committee has sought to expand the roster of host institutions for this championship, and we’re pleased to add Stanford to this prestigious group.”

Stanford University will host the 2010 championship at Maples Pavilion.  Penn State University will host the 2011 championship at Rec Hall, which will mark the fifth time Penn State has served as hosts (1982, 1986, 2002, and 2006).
