INDIANAPOLIS--- The recently opened NCAA Hall of Champions will host its first-ever Father’s Day Sports Brunch, Sunday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the facility located in White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis.
A ticket will grant you brunch, admission to the NCAA Hall of Champions and a parking voucher. Tickets are $30.95 for adults (age 12 and older), and $14.95 for children under age 12 and senior citizens 65 years and older.
The meal is fit for dad and includes made-to-order omelets, waffles, hand-carved roast beef with horseradish cream sauce, baked peanut-glazed salmon, grilled chicken with port wine demi sauce, vegetables, fresh fruit, yogurt and beverages. Additional food items will be available.
Sports fans will leave with a quenched appetite and an opportunity to see the renovated NCAA Hall of Champions, which features 23 state-of-the-art sport-specific exhibits and several interactive displays on the first and second floors. There is also a video presentation, new athletic and academic content, and a retail store. Admission also grants guests access to the Student-Athlete Art Exhibit on the second floor, which includes paintings, photography, sculptures, designs and personal statements from NCAA student-athletes who submitted artwork that reflects sports, various aspects of life, self-portraits and their thoughts and athletic accomplishments.
“We know people sometimes struggle to think of what to get dad or a father figure in their life on Father’s Day, and this is another idea – spending time with your father and family at the NCAA Hall of Champions and a brunch,” said Damon Schoening, NCAA director of brand strategies and events. “We knew the interactive exhibits and hands-on sports would be entertaining, and then adding a hardy brunch makes is even more appealing.”
“The NCAA Hall of Champions is a perfect experience for the entire family on Father’s Day. Play some sports, compete in trivia, get your hands on sports equipment, watch videos, celebrate your favorite college team and have a great meal. It’s all here on the day we celebrate fathers,” Schoening said.
