NCAA Selects Participants for 2009-10 Fellows Leadership Program

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA has selected its 12 athletics administrators and executive mentors for the 2009-10 Fellows Leadership Program.    

The Fellows program seeks to enhance career and leadership opportunities for women and ethnic minorities employed at the senior management level of NCAA Division I, II and III colleges and universities.  

Individuals selected for the Fellows Leadership Program are assigned an NCAA executive mentor who will work with them over 18months to enhance their skills and develop talents they can utilize in their current career and beyond.  

The program provides professional experiences in marketing, public and media relations, budgeting, leadership, compliance and fundraising.   The Fellows program was developed by the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee and the Committee on Women’s Athletics in 1997.   

The athletics administrators selected for the Fellows program are:

•         Linda Andrzjewski, assistant athletics director/compliance and senior woman administrator, Wilmington University (Delaware)

•         Monique Holland, athletics director, Alabama State University

•         Lisa Campos, senior associate athletics director, University of Texas, El Paso

•         Derek Horne, senior associate athletics director, University of Mississippi

•         Victoria Chun, senior associate athletics director/senior woman administrator, Colgate University

•         Kiki Jacobs, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator, Oberlin College

•         James Sarra, associate athletics director for external operations, University of Texas-San Antonio

•         Allison Tookes, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator, Wayne State University

•         Tracy Scott, assistant athletics director, compliance/senior woman administrator, Eastern Kentucky University

•         Marianne Vydra, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator, Oregon State University

•         Darryl Sims, assistant athletics director for athletics development and operations, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh

•         Carla Wilson, senior associate athletics director for business and finance/senior woman administrator, University of Missouri- Kansas City

The executive mentors selected for the Fellows program are:

•         Bridget Belgiovine, athletics director, Wellesley College

•         Tom Bowen, athletics director, San Jose State University

•         Bob Bowlsby, athletics director, Stanford University

•         Bill Bradshaw, athletics director, Temple University

•         Floyd Kerr, athletics director, Morgan State University

•         Pat Lyons, athletics director, Iona College

•         Jim Naumovich, commissioner, Great Lakes Valley Conference

•         Jim Phillips, athletics director, Northwestern University

•         Barbara Schroeder, athletics director, Regis University

•         Kelly Landry Mehrtens, athletics director, University of North Carolina, Wilmington

•         Keith Tribble, athletics director and executive vice president, University of Central Florida

•         Robert Vowels, vice president for educational affairs, NCAA National Office
