INDIANAPOLIS---In addition to its national telecast on CBS and availability online via March Madness on Demand, the 2010 NCAA Men’s Final Four broadcast will be distributed to 178 countries around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea and Spain.

Since 2004, the number of countries broadcasting the Final Four has increased from 115, a spike of 55 percent. The NCAA, in conjunction with CBS College Sports, is producing a world feed of the Final Four, with Ian Eagle and Pete Gillen calling the action.

Westwood One Radio will broadcast the games from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to more than 450 affiliates nationwide. In addition, the American Armed Forces Radio Network will transmit the CBS coverage of the broadcast to more than 175 countries and 140 ships at sea. The games also can be heard on Sirius/XM satellite radio and online at www.ncaa.com/mmod.

“The Final Four continues to show an increase in popularity around the world, as evidenced by the growing number of countries carrying the broadcast,” said Greg Shaheen, NCAA senior vice president for basketball and business strategies. “We couldn’t be more pleased that college basketball fans in countries throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, Central and South America and the Caribbean, and even on no fewer than a half dozen cruise lines, will have the Final Four brought to them. And we are especially thrilled that the games will be broadcast to the men and women serving our country abroad via the American Armed Forces Network.”

Saturday’s first semifinal game, featuring West Regional champion Butler against Midwest Regional champion Michigan State, tips off at 6:07 p.m. ET. East Regional champion West Virginia faces South Regional champion Duke 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first semifinal.
