FOR THE RECORD -- Coach Bob Huggins was either misquoted in several media reports or misinformed when he indicated that the NCAA “keeps all of the money” generated in the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament. In fact, approximately 96 cents of every dollar generated by the Association is returned to NCAA membership. Further, the revenue distribution formula is approved by university and college presidents within the Division I governance structure….not the NCAA staff.
