NCAA Announces Division I Women's Golf Site Selection for 2012 ChampionshipsFor Immediate Release

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee announced Franklin, Tenn., will serve as the host for the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships. The event will be held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club on May 22-25, with Vanderbilt University serving as the host.
"Our committee is thrilled to have the opportunity to take our championships to Franklin and the Vanderbilt Legends Club.” said Nancy L. Cross, chair of the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee and senior associate athletics director and senior woman administrator at Purdue University. “We are confident the rich tradition of hosting major college and LPGA events, and the enthusiasm of the Legends and Vanderbilt athletics staff members who will serve as the hosts, will make this an incredible championship experience for our student-athletes."
The 2010 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships are scheduled for May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall, in Wilmington, N.C. The University of North Carolina, Wilmington, are the hosts. The 2011 championships are scheduled for May 17-20 at the Traditions Golf Club in College Station, Texas, with Texas A&M University serving as the host.
