NCAA Bracket Town Refreshed by Coca-Cola Zero Brings the Ultimate Final Four Fan Fest to Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, March 17, 2010 — The NCAA and the Indianapolis Local Organizing Committee (ILOC) invite everyone to join in the celebration of the 2010 NCAA Men’s Final Four weekend with the announcement of the activities and events schedule for NCAA Bracket Town refreshed by Coca-Cola Zero, April 1-5 at the Indiana Convention Center.

Bracket Town, the ultimate Final Four fan fest, is a new and improved basketball extravaganza that allows fans of all ages the chance to run, jump, shoot and play until the final buzzer. Activities inside the Indiana Convention Center include basketball activities, clinics, performances, photo ops, prizes, chances to experience other NCAA sports, autograph sessions and more:

 

HOURS
Thursday, April 1: 5 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday, April 2 and 3: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday and Monday, April 4 and 5: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

TICKETS
$10 (ages 12 and over)
$6 (ages 3-11, college students*, senior citizens (55 and older), and military*)
Free (ages 2 and under)
*Appropriate ID required.

$25 (includes admission to Bracket Town)

Tickets may be purchased in advance at participating Indiana Meijer stores at a $2 discount beginning now and will be available on the day of the event at the Indiana Convention Center. Group tickets are available at $8 for adults and $4 for children for groups of 50 or more. Group tickets may be purchased at the Indiana Convention Center.

Bring a new or gently used piece of sports equipment to Bracket Town to benefit the Geared for Health: Sports Equipment for Kids program and receive $1 off the ticket price at the Indiana Convention Center box office. Donations bins will be located outside the main entrance.

“Bracket Town will be packed with fun and activities for all ages, providing NCAA basketball fans with an inside look at the Final Four and the passion of NCAA March Madness®,” said Greg Shaheen, NCAA senior vice president of basketball and business strategies. “Friends and fans from throughout Central Indiana and across the region as well as visitors can share in celebrating this historic basketball weekend even if they don’t have a ticket to the games.”

NCAA Bracket Town opens with a “Tip Off” ceremony at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 1 inside the Indiana Convention Center, followed by the 22nd annual State Farm® College Slam Dunk and Three-Point ChampionshipsTM, which are making their first official appearance at the NCAA Men's Final Four®. The event, which will be televised on ESPN, brings together college basketball's top three-point shooters and slam dunk artists competing in four separate competitions: men's three-point shooting, women's three-point shooting, men's vs. women's three-point champions and the slam dunk competition.
