DENVER—Thought Equity Motion, Inc.—the world leader in digitizing, delivering and monetizing video content—announced today the company’s CEO and Founder Kevin Schaff will be speaking at the College Sports Video Summit, a conference focusing on the latest advancements for collegiate sports video departments, taking place June 8 – 9, 2010 in Atlanta, GA (The Westin Peachtree Plaza). Schaff will be participating in the “Tale of the Tape: Building an Archival Strategy” panel at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday June 9, 2010.

During the session, Schaff and his fellow panelists will address the tremendous potential of sports video content and how next-generation publishing models are unlocking new value in both archive and broadcast contexts. Schaff will discuss how video is moving beyond mere digitization to new “smart content” models that enable searchable databases that can be made accessible to consumers, digital content producers and publishers. As an example, Schaff and Greg Weitekamp, director of broadcasting at the NCAA, will talk about this year’s launch of the ground-breaking NCAA Vault—a searchable and shareable “moment-based” video archive of the last decade’s Sweet Sixteen® championship games—and offer first year key learnings and metrics.

“I’m excited to participate on this panel and discuss how new technologies and consumer behaviors are enabling collegiate sports rights holders to drive new value from their video assets,” said Kevin Schaff, CEO and founder of Thought Equity Motion. “We’ll talk about how new video publishing models, such as the NCAA Vault, are leveraging social media, community sites, and syndication models to connect to content, blogs, and fan conversations across the web ecosystem.”

“As a leading expert in the rights development space, we think Kevin will add valuable insight on this panel,” said Tom Buffolano, conference chairman, College Sports Video Summit. “I think attendees will learn a great deal from how the NCAA and Thought Equity Motion have collaborated across the video value chain on everything from preservation, storage, and next generation publishing models. I think there will be some great takeaways that come out of Kevin and Greg’s discussion about the NCAA Vault as well.”
