INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee has announced the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships will be held at the Capital City Club/Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga., May 28-June 2. Georgia Institute of Technology will serve as the host.

"The committee is pleased to award the 2013 championship to Georgia Tech and the Capital City Club/Crabapple Course.” said Darin Spease, chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee and senior associate athletic director at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. “We are confident that Georgia Tech’s outstanding hosting capabilities over the last several years, combined with the remarkable job that Capital City Club/Crabapple Course did at the 2010 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf regionals, will provide a memorable championship experience for our student-athletes."

The 2013 event, originally scheduled to take place at the Atlanta Athletic Club, was moved to the Capital City Club due to unforeseen circumstances.

“Georgia Tech is excited to have the opportunity to provide a championship experience that golf student-athletes deserve,” said Bruce Heppler, head men’s golf coach at Georgia Tech. “We were honored to be selected originally as the hosts, and grateful to the NCAA Men’s Golf Committee for their decision to keep the 2013 championship in Atlanta by awarding the event to the Capital City Club/Crabapple Course.”

The 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships are scheduled for May 31-June 5 at the Karsten Creek Golf Club, in Stillwater, Okla. Oklahoma State University will serve as the host. The 2012 championships are scheduled for May 29-June 3 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., with the University of Southern California serving as the host.
