INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Men’s Water Polo Committee has reprimanded the University of Southern California men’s water polo team for inappropriate behavior following the championship event at the 2009 NCAA Water Polo Championship.

Specifically, the team’s actions at the Westin Hotel following the men’s water polo championship caused damage to the hotel, discredited the event and could have potentially caused harm to other hotel guests. Because of these actions, the committee decided to issue a public reprimand to the entire University of Southern California men’s water polo team.

The men’s water polo committee was disappointed in the University of Southern California men’s water polo team actions and strongly believes the championships should not be tarnished by such acts.
