Sweepstakes Offers Consumers Chance to Win Tickets to the 2011 College World Series

HERSHEY, Pa. and OMAHA, Neb., June 17, 2010 – Celebrating the expansion of its role as the Official Candy Partner of the NCAA, the Reese’s® brand along with Hy-Vee will donate $200 to the charitable organization Boys Town for each home run hit during the NCAA® Men’s College World Series®, with a minimum donation of $10,000.  Boys Town provides life-changing care to children and families in need across America. In addition, fans can get in the game with the “Go Back-to-Back at the Men’s College World Series” sweepstakes where the Reese’s brand and Hy-Vee are offering consumers the chance to win four VIP tickets to back-to-back days of the 2011 Men’s College World Series.

“The Reese’s brand is proud to expand its NCAA corporate partnership to the 2010 Men’s College World Series,” said Anna Lingeris, spokeswoman for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and The Hershey Company. “This partnership celebrates the excitement and achievement of a home run while simultaneously supporting a great local cause.”

Each year, the Men’s College World Series is held in Omaha, Neb. and hosts eight collegiate baseball teams that battle it out in a double elimination tournament to determine the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.  As the first pitch is thrown-out on June 19, Reese’s and Hy-Vee will kick-off their support of Boys Town by donating $200 for every home run hit during the Men’s College World Series. The companies will donate a minimum of $10,000 to Boys Town, which focuses on delivering research-proven treatment to troubled children and families who are edging toward crisis.

“Reese’s and Hy-Vee’s support of Boys Town helps us to continue to offer outreach programs and services for under-privileged children,” said Father Steven Boes, Boys Town President and National Executive Director. “Through the brands’ generous donation, we will be able to continue the vital programs we provide to needy children and their families.”

During each game, college baseball fans who visit the Men’s College World Series Fan Fest will receive a coupon for a free package of Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups, redeemable at Hy-Vee locations. The Fan Fest will also feature batting cages, speed pitch booths and other interactive areas, including a locker room display featuring jerseys of all eight teams participating.  Fans will also have access to autograph sessions and photo opportunities with former Major League Baseball players.

In addition, now through July 14, consumers who purchase any two specially-marked Reese’s products at participating Hy-Vee locations will be entered in the “Go Back-to-Back at the Men’s College World Series” sweepstakes. One grand prize winner will receive four VIP tickets to back-to-back days of the 2011 Men’s College World Series. Fifty first prize winners will receive Men’s College World Series branded t-shirts and baseball caps, as well as Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. No purchase is necessary to enter.
