DENVER —Thought Equity Motion, Inc.—a leading provider of video platform and footage licensing services—and NCAA Digital, a digital property of Turner Sports, announced today the launch of the 2011 NCAA Vault and Classic 68 Bracket at NCAA.com in support of the upcoming NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The NCAA Vault is the definitive source for classic full length NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament games and features rich play-by-play metadata indexing as well as search, social, and sharing features.  For this year’s tournament, the NCAA Vault has been expanded with the addition of hundreds of new games and moments dating back to the 1970s. Search and social features have been enhanced with the ability to search across the library as well as within games and share any individual moment with friends on email, Facebook, Twitter, or other social communities.

The Classic 68 Bracket (http://www.ncaa.com/classicbracket) will allow fans to select the greatest game in NCAA Tournament History from a selection of 68 Classic games. Fans will vote through multiple rounds of a simulated bracket, which features video of key moments from each game as well as links to watch the complete games at the NCAA Vault.

Through this partnership, NCAA Digital will leverage Thought Equity Motion’s hosted video management platform, APIs, and publishing modules to integrate digital content from NCAA Championships into video, editorial, and social features across NCAA.com. Additionally, Thought Equity Motion will continue to provide preservation and advanced “smart content” metadata curation services through its Metadata Editor toolkit and provide access to Turner production teams to thousands of hours of NCAA library content across sports. This agreement supports Turner Sports’ work with the NCAA to expand the NCAA fan experience and develop the value of the NCAA’s digital rights.

“We’re excited to work with Thought Equity Motion to further integrate engaging and dynamic content into NCAA.com through the NCAA Vault and the Classic 68 bracket,” said Mark Johnson, vice president and general manager, NCAA Digital.  “Every year, March Madness produces several memorable moments and this unique digital platform provides fans the opportunity to re-live that excitement.”

“It’s exciting to see how Turner Sports is leveraging our technology platform to extend the depth and lifecycle of NCAA March Madness®,” said Kevin Schaff, CEO & Founder of Thought Equity Motion. “The content that we’re streaming to Turner Sports will help make NCAA.com a year-round destination for college sports enthusiasts. With the help of our ‘smart content’ metadata services, we’re bringing more classic NCAA video online for fans to search and share, which creates new efficiencies in access and production and drives value for Turner’s sponsorship  packages.”
