INDIANAPOLIS---Turner Sports and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) have announced a new multi-year presenting sponsorship with Capital One around the 2011 NCAA College World Series fan festival.   The College World Series is the NCAA Division I baseball championship that takes place in Omaha, NE June 18-28/29.

“This partnership is an important next step in Capital One’s journey to support college sports, its fans and most important the student-athletes and their quest for excellence on the field and in the classroom.  We are excited to use this platform to engage directly with fans and offer them a rich, fun experience at the CWS Fan Fest in Omaha,” said Marc Mentry, Managing Vice President, Advertising and Sponsorships at Capital One.

The “CWS Fan Fest Presented by Capital One” signifies a first-of-its-kind NCAA Corporate Champion fan fest presenting sponsorship for any NCAA championship outside of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Fours®.  The enhanced sponsorship will debut at the College World Series June 18 and run through June 28 or 29.   The fan fest will include the Capital One Cup Fan Zone, batting cages, speed-pitch booths, interactive games from a variety of NCAA sports, souvenir photos, autograph sessions, food, prizes, and official College World Series merchandise.
