INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division I Softball Committee has reprimanded the University of Florida head coach Tim Walton and student-athlete Kelsey Bruder for violations of the NCAA’s championship sportsmanship policy during the 2011 NCAA Women’s College World Series.
Specifically, Walton and Bruder made disparaging comments about the officiating during the postgame press conference on June 6. The committee determined the comments constituted unprofessional and unsportsmanlike behaviors.
Because of these actions, the committee decided to issue public reprimands to Walton and Bruder for this act of misconduct.
