INDIANAPOLIS--- The NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee has reprimanded Chico State University head men’s soccer coach Felipe Restrepo for misconduct during the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.
Specifically, Restrepo was engaging in inflammatory and aggressive behavior toward the opposing head coach during the first-round game against Sonoma State University. Because of these actions, the committee decided to issue a public reprimand to Restrepo.
“The committee holds coaches to a high standard in regard to their behavior, and the unprofessionalism that was displayed will not be tolerated during the NCAA Championship,” said Greg Gilbert, acting chair of the Division II Men’s Soccer Committee and assistant director of athletics at the University of Findlay.
